We are excited to invite all incoming 6th grade students to a 6th Grade Summer Event on August 14th from 1:00–3:00 PM. This is a fun event designed to help students make connections, meet future classmates, and feel more comfortable with the transition to middle school. Students will enjoy ice cream, yard games, and opportunities to connect with peers in a relaxed and welcoming environment before the school year begins.

Please see the list of materials your child will need for the 2026-2027 school year. This list applies to all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders at Madison Middle School. In communication with our teachers, this list was created in order to minimize what students will carry throughout the day. 

In support of our efforts to promote a healthy digital balance, we are launching a new summer campaign: Unplug to Recharge. This initiative reflects our district's commitment to ensuring technology serves as an intentional learning tool rather than a constant presence in our children’s lives.

Over the break, district-issued Chromebooks for students in grades 5–8 will be restricted during the summer months, with access open only to the required Khan Academy website for math summer work from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
